An exhibition of photographs taken by Briton Felice Beato during his stay of over 20 years in Japan from 1855 will be held at Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography in the Ebisu district from March 6 to May 6.
It is the first retrospective of the photographer, who left precious records of the early days of Japan's modernization drive that started in the 19th century.
