TAKAMATSU, Kagawa Pref. (Kyodo) Chinese low-cost carrier Spring Airlines Co. said Sunday that it will charge just ¥3,000 for a limited number of one-way tickets for regular charter flights between Takamatsu in Kagawa Prefecture and Shanghai in March.
Eighteen passengers will be eligible for the discount in the first month for the new route, said Wang Zhenghua, chairman of the Chinese airline, in a press conference at the Kagawa Prefectural Government office.
The remaining seats on the 180-seat Airbus A320 will be priced from ¥6,000.
Starting from the second month, the lowest fare will rise to ¥4,000, the airline said.
The chartered flights will be available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, arriving in Takamatsu in the morning and departing for Shanghai in the afternoon.
