The executive pay package for Fast Retailing Co. chief Tadashi Yanai came to ¥300 million in the year that ended in August, the operator of the Uniqlo casual clothing chain has revealed.

The combined total for the remaining four board members, who are all outside directors, was ¥37 million, according to a letter of invitation to the company's regular shareholders' meeting Thursday in Yamaguchi Prefecture.

Among major corporations that unveiled such payments for the fiscal year that ended in March, non-Japanese managers stood out for their handsome compensation packages, including Nissan Motor Co. President Carlos Ghosn's ¥891 million and Sony Corp. Chief Executive Officer Howard Stringer's better than ¥800 million, including stock options.

Among Japanese managers, Dai Nippon Printing Co. President Yoshitoshi Kitajima was paid ¥787 million.
