A 49-year-old woman was arrested Friday with her 24-year-old daughter and 19-year-old son on suspicion of abandoning the bodies of two of her babies in Okazaki, Aichi Prefecture, in February, police said.
Atsuko Fujiwara and her daughter and son are suspected of putting the two bodies into a freezer in their home in Okazaki and abandoning the frozen bodies in a trolley at a supermarket entrance Feb. 20.
The police said they also found another baby's body in their home, though the initial arrest did not cover that corpse.
Fujiwara was quoted as telling investigators, "I put the bodies in the freezer and my daughter and son abandoned them."
