All Nippon Airways Co. will fly an aircraft bearing images of “anime” combat robot Gundam on domestic routes from July to mark the 30th anniversary of the release of the first Mobile Suit Gundam plastic model kit, the airline said.
The special plane will operate from July 16 to the end of March and will be used on most ANA domestic routes.
Passengers on the inaugural, Haneda-Osaka, run will receive a certificate proving they took the inaugural flight.
The Boeing 777-300 boasts the robot’s head on the left side and a full-scale image of the robot lying on its back on the right.
