The Consumer Affairs Agency said Friday it has received a report that two people were injured in an accident involving a washer-drier Sanyo Electric Co. recalled five years ago.
The agency said the AWD-B860Z washer-drier caught fire in Ibaraki Prefecture on Aug. 3, slightly injuring two people.
Sanyo washer-driers, including this model, were recalled for free repairs on three occasions starting in September 2004.
The agency said it is investigating the cause of the fire.
