Large, flat-screen televisions for terrestrial digital broadcasting, covered by the government's Eco-point purchase plan, top the list of products consumers want to buy with their bonuses this summer, Dentsu Inc. said Tuesday.

Energy-efficient air conditioners and other home appliances rank second on the list, the advertising agency said, based on its survey of 1,000 consumers conducted late last month.

The government program was launched in May to encourage consumers to buy environmentally friendly home appliances. It awards Eco-points for the purchase of energy-efficient air conditioners, refrigerators and terrestrial digital TVs, and allows consumers to exchange their points for subsequent purchases of products and services.
