Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao have agreed to mull launching shuttle flights between Tokyo's Haneda airport and Shanghai's Hongqiao airport, according to government sources.

The agreement was reached after Abe proposed such flights at a dinner Sunday when he was in China.

Hurdles to the plan are expected to be high, as Haneda has a limited number of departure and arrival slots and Hongqiao currently handles only domestic flights.
