A comedian who was sky diving as part of a television quiz program and his instructor were blown off course by strong winds Sunday afternoon and landed within the Akasaka Goyochi residential quarters of Crown Prince Naruhito and Crown Princess Masako in Minato Ward, police said.
No one was hurt in the incident, including the comedian, Atsuhiko Nakata, a 23-year-old member of the popular comedy duo Oriental Radio.
Nakata and the instructor were attempting to descend on Jingu Stadium in nearby Shinjuku Ward but found themselves touching down in a vacant lot about 50 meters east of Samegabashi Gate, close to the Geihinkan state guesthouse.
