Crown Prince Naruhito left for Mexico on Wednesday to attend the 4th World Water Forum, opening in Mexico City on Thursday.
The Crown Prince, who served as honorary president of the previous water forum held in Japan in 2003, will give a keynote address Friday on “Edo and Water Transportation,” in which he will explain the role of water transportation, as well as water supply in the development of Edo, the old name for present-day Tokyo.
