Convenience store chain Lawson Inc. opened a store at the University of Tokyo on Thursday, the first 24-hour convenience store to be opened on a national university campus.
The new store is located just north of Yasuda Auditorium on the university's Hongo campus in Bunkyo Ward.
"We hope to sell ball point pens and mugs with the University of Tokyo logo on them in the future," a university official said.
