Tokyo-based software developer Mediaseek Inc. said Wednesday it has launched an antiforgery service for Japanese products sold in China.
Orient Anti-Forgery Japan features a 20-digit code number for each product and stickers with the number that manufacturers can paste on packages.
Consumers can get information about the products and their producers from Start Media Japan Co., the provider of the service that Mediaseek jointly established in Tokyo with its Chinese partner, Start Computer Science & Technology Co., via the Internet or telephone, it said.
