KANAZAWA, Ishikawa Pref. – Two people were injured Thursday when an All Nippon Airways plane carrying 532 passengers and crew members lost steering control and made an abrupt stop on a taxiway at Komatsu airport in Ishikawa Prefecture, shortly after landing.
A 55-year-old woman sustained a minor injury to her right leg while a man in his 40s complained of neck pain, according to ANA and airport officials.
The Boeing 747 was unable to move after stopping and had to be towed to the terminal.
Passengers disembarked from the plane, Flight 753 from Tokyo’s Haneda airport, about an hour later.
ANA said the pilot hit the brakes after the plane, which landed at Komatsu at 11:23 a.m., suddenly veered to the right.
