All children living in Japan are invited to take part in an international symposium on the environment to be held in Tokyo on July 18.

The 2003 International Children's Conference for the Environment, organized by the nonprofit group Taiyoh-no-Kai, will focus on the global warming problem.

Up to 100 children, aged 9 to 15, of any nationality are invited to participate in the conference, which is being supported by the Environment and Foreign ministries, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and The Japan Times, and others.

The conference will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the National Olympics Memorial Youth Center in Tokyo's Yoyogi district.
