Police said Monday they have obtained arrest warrants for two mobsters over a shooting at a Maebashi bar that left four people dead.

Police said they obtained a warrant for Masato Kohinata, 34, a senior member of the Yano Mutsumi-kai, which is affiliated with the underworld syndicate Sumiyoshi-kai, and a warrant for a man belonging to another Sumiyoshi-kai affiliate.

Kohinata is already under arrest and has been indicted over a separate incident related to a gangland war. Police said the other suspect, whose name they did not release, is still at large.

According to an investigation, the two men on Jan. 25, 2003, gunned down a former member of a group affiliated with the Inagawa-kai, a rival syndicate, outside the Katsu bar at around 11:30 p.m.
