Honda Motor Co. said Monday it is recalling 1,833 units of its CB1300 Super Four motorcycle due to defective electric wiring.

Subject to the recall are bikes made between Jan. 17 and June 2.

In a report to the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Ministry, Honda said the 1,300cc motorbikes could come to a sudden halt or their brake lights could fail as a result of a short circuit caused by defective coating of electric wires.

The repairs will be carried out free of charge, it said.
