Hitachi Ltd. and U.S. software company Oracle Corp. said Thursday they will reinforce their cooperation in the field of storage solutions.
The agreement, which also involves subsidiaries Hitachi Data Systems Corp. and Oracle Corp. Japan, is aimed at meeting growing global demand for databases by combining Hitachi’s large-capacity data storage system with Oracle database software such as Oracle9i.
