OSAKA -- Universal Studios Japan announced Wednesday that it has fired or suspended six employees in the wake of a series of revelations about health and safety problems at the theme park.
USJ President Akira Sakata and Vice President Daniel Jensen said that in addition to the personnel cuts, they and 13 other senior managers will take pay cuts of 20 percent over the next three months.
Sakata and Jensen also submitted a restructuring plan to Osaka Mayor Takafumi Isomura.
