YOKOHAMA – Two men stormed the First Baptist Church of Yokohama in Naka Ward on Sunday and robbed a Japanese-language teacher of 16,000 yen in cash, police said Monday.
Police said the men, believed to be foreigners, entered the church around 5:30 p.m. and threatened the 32-year-old teacher at knifepoint, demanding, “Money, money” in broken Japanese.
The pair took 16,000 yen from the teacher and fled, police said. A church official said the teacher was unhurt.
