Kiyofumi Kamijo will replace Shinobu Shimizu as president of railway operator Tokyu Corp., with the appointment due to be formalized at a board of directors meeting June 28, Tokyu said Monday.
Kamijo, 65, currently vice president, joined Tokyu in 1958 after graduating from Waseda University in Tokyo and has held his current post since June 1999.
Shimizu will assume the currently vacant post of chairman, the Tokyo-based company said.
Shimizu is stepping down from the presidency because he has reached the age limit of 70.
