Oji Paper Co. announced Tuesday it will promote Vice President Shoichiro Suzuki to the firm's top post.
Suzuki, 62, will succeed President Masahiko Okuni, 71, who will become chairman of the nation's leading paper manufacturer.
The decision will be made official at a board meeting scheduled after the annual shareholders' meeting in late June.
