Kyodo News said Wednesday it will launch a news Web site Sunday together with 23 of its member newspapers.

Flash24, which has been running on a trial basis since Jan. 1, combines the Web sites of Kyodo News and its member newspapers, the major Japanese news agency said.

According to Kyodo, the site will provide access to breaking and major news stories, as well as coverage of six other categories — politics, business, international, city, sports and life.

The Flash24 Web site, found at flash24.kyodo.co.jp, is also accessible via the site of each member newspaper as well as that of Kyodo News, it said.

Kyodo News’ Japanese site is at www.kyodo.co.jp/, its English Web site at home.kyodo.co.jp/, and its Chinese site can be accessed at china.kyodo.co.jp/home/
