NEW YORK – U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan wrote a letter Wednesday to Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori, expressing concern about a possible cut in Japan’s foreign aid program.
Annan pointed out in his letter that Japan’s official development assistance program for developing countries, the largest in the world, plays a major part in the leadership role Japan enjoys on the world stage.
