The Tokyo Sail and Power Squadron is holding a series of classes in English to prepare individuals for registering as well as taking both the written and underway examination for the Class IV boating license.
The license is mandatory for anyone operating any sort of watercraft equipped with an engine in Japan's waters.
Classes will start Monday at 7 p.m. in Tokyo. All interested parties are invited to attend. The test for the license is set for Oct. 17.
