Oracle, KDD Oracle Corp. Japan and KDD Corp. jointly announced Tuesday that they will start operating a Web site from today where users can receive advice from registered computer experts for fees ranging from 10 yen to 1,000 yen per question.

The Web site is modeled after flourishing information bulletin boards and mailing lists on the Net, where many computer users now gather and exchange information and advice on a voluntary basis.

Users post a question or request on the new Web site, with a proposal for payment and other conditions required for the work.

If the users get a satisfactory answer from a registered expert, they are asked to pay the fee through KDD's Web-based settlement system named Millicent.

Advice sent from experts are stored in an online database, through which users can search, the companies said.

Users can access the new Web site at www.chienowa.com
