A 23-year-old man who went on a stabbing and clubbing spree in Tokyo’s Ikebukuro district Wednesday had left notes in his apartment indicating he wanted to kill people, investigators said.
Hiroshi Zota, a former newspaper deliveryman, was arrested after being subdued by passersby, and investigators said a search of his apartment in Nerima Ward uncovered several memos that revealed a desire to kill people at random.
