Long before you reach Shibuya Yokochō, you'll hear the noise, clatter and chatter. You’ll see a row of retro lanterns, neon-orange signage and boisterous patrons. Many communal tables sprawl out onto the streets buzzing with office workers, college students, young couples and more.

And it's still 6 p.m. on a weekday.

Every day is a festival at this multivenue food hall that opened in the summer of 2020. It occupies the ground floor of Rayard Miyashita Park, a public-private partnership with Shibuya Ward and major real estate developer Mitsui Fudosan — an indication of the money to be made in keeping young diners and drinkers happy.
