Cathay Pacific packages

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the start of its service between Hong Kong and Fukuoka, Cathay Pacific will offer several packages to travelers.

Tickets can be purchased online from the airline’s website and are valid for flights between May 26 and July 13.

The Eco Toku 3 fares are available for flight CX511, departing Fukuoka at 10:40 a.m., and CX510 on the return, departing Hong Kong at 2:55 p.m., both via Taipei, as well as a direct route on KA380/CX5380, departing Hong Kong at 11:20 a.m.

The price is set at ¥33,000 for a return trip.

The Eco Toku 3 campaign also offers flights discounted to ¥75,000 on travel between Hong Kong and Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Colombo.

Additionally, the Biz Toku 3 campaign is offered on flights CX511 and KA381/CX5381, departing Fukuoka at 4:40 p.m., as well as CX510 and KA380/CX5380 for the return leg at ¥85,000 for the round trip.

New Scoot route

Scoot has announced a new route servicing Osaka commencing July 8.

Scoot’s new Boeing 787 Dreamliners will offer six options linking Osaka and Singapore, with three services operating via Bangkok and three via Kaohsiung, Taiwan, every week.

“Osaka has long been on our radar, and we’re excited to add it to our network,” said Scoot CEO, Campbell Wilson.

“Besides Osaka’s many attractions such as the Dotonbori food district, its castle and Universal Studios Japan, it is also the gateway to the stunning historic capital of Kyoto with its many temples and sights. When combined with our existing service to Tokyo, Scoot’s guests can now complete the ‘golden triangle’ of Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka without backtracking.”

The airline’s 787 Dreamliners come equipped with in-flight Wi-Fi, in-seat power and new more comfortable seats, a wide range of hot meals and snacks, extra legroom, streaming video entertainment, and Scoot-in-Silence for those aged above 12.

Miffy traveling in Europe

KLM has partnered with beloved character Miffy to create a new campaign: “Miffy Traveling Europe with KLM,” with a dedicated website (klmeurope.jp).

The second part of the campaign unveils new videos of Miffy traveling to nine cities in Europe, including Amsterdam, Utrecht, Madrid, Barcelona, Rome, Venice, Florence, London and Brussels, under the “Tour Guide” section.

The videos feature hidden spots recommended by locals and can be shared with friends through various social networking sites.

KLM is also offering people a chance to win round-trip tickets for two to Europe by answering a quiz on the website. Hints are scattered throughout the blog and travel guide sections.

In addition, the airline is giving out 10 Miffy suitcase belts to Twitter users who tweet about this campaign. This offer is valid until June 30 and winners will be selected randomly.

This year marks the 60th anniversary for Miffy.
