Organizing a home wine-tasting party for a small group of friends can be a huge amount of fun, and is actually much easier than you might think.
The phrase "wine-tasting party" brings to mind different things for different people. Some might think of a few bottles of Aussie plonk wedged between cigarette butt-filled beer cans, while for others it may invoke images of hotel ballrooms so packed that they require elbowing your way forward to the bar for each refill. Purists may even envision being seated in front of 12 crystal glasses, a speaker on stage and long periods of monastic silence.
Needless to say, none of these are appropriate for an engaging evening at home.
