Captain Olimar, the main character in "Pikmin," isn't really a character, he's a cursor. He doesn't do anything other than tell the Pikmin what to do.
"Pikmin" is a new game for GameCube, Nintendo's new video game console. Set on an alien planet, "Pikmin" is the story of how the stranded Captain Olimar repairs his spaceship and escapes the planet within 30 days of making an emergency crash landing.
But, as I said before, Olimar does next to nothing to save himself. The one thing he does himself is pick helpers from the ground. Oddly enough, he has crashed on a planet with three species of adorable plantlike creatures called Pikmin who sprout from the ground.
