Italian sculptor Giuliano Vangi studied in Florence before he moved to Brazil in 1959 to develop abstract works. He returned to Italy three years later, however, after deciding that representational sculpture and figurative works were better ways for him to express himself.
Since then, he has focused on figurative sculptures using materials such as marble, bronze and nickel-based alloys, and is particularly well known for his sensitive depiction of women. This exhibition centers around Vanji's new work "Verità" ("Truth"), which will be accompanied by a collection of study sketches; June 1-Sept. 30
