Adrien Brody stars as a jaded substitute teacher at a dysfunctional urban high school who avoids caring about anything except maybe the teenage runaway (Sami Gayle) he puts up. Imagine an existentialist version of “Dangerous Minds” crossed with “Taxi Driver”.
