An unwelcome addition to the outworn "torture-porn" genre (e.g. "Saw" and "Hostel") that's likely to pull the category's popularity further down. Our victim is Jennifer (Elisha Cuthbert), a young, blonde model. Abducted by a hooded sicko, Jennifer awakens in a cellar where she is . . . well, tortured — forced to drink pureed eyeballs, wear sluttish clothes, etc. Soon, she finds out that there is another prisoner called Gary (Daniel Gillies). What follows is "both a thriller and a love story," as the director has said, with some twists added.
