Organist Brian Auger's 40-year career has seen him back a young Rod Stewart in the mid-1960s, then hit the top five of the British charts with Julie Driscoll with the Bob Dylan/Rick Danko-penned song "This Wheel's on Fire" in 1968 before he established his own long-running Oblivion Express jazz-pop unit in the 1970s.

For their first ever tour of Japan, Brian Auger's Oblivion Express will perform Feb. 11 (5:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m.) and 12 (4:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m.) at Duo Music Exchange, Tokyo. Tickets are 6,800 yen (tel. [03] 5434-9111).

The Japan Times has five pairs of tickets to give away to its readers for the early show on Feb. 11 and to the late show on Feb. 12. To apply, send a postcard to Promax Inc., B.I. Bldg 3F, 2-9-3 Shimomeguro, Meguro-ku, Tokyo 153-0064, marking your postcard "Brian Auger giveaway" and stating your preferred date.
