The Ryukyu Golden Kings have been so dominant for so long — they've won 256 of 370 regular-season games (at nearly a 69.2 percent clip) since the start of the 2008-09 season — that all of their victories are, well, expected.

The reigning champions ran roughshod over the host Osaka Evessa on Sunday, a 96-62 comprehensive thrashing that gave coach Tsutomu Isa's squad its eighth win in 10 road contests in the 2014-15 bj-league season.

What's more, the Golden Kings extended their winning streak to eight, and outscored the hosts 25-10 in the fourth quarter.

Ryukyu (14-2) had four double-digit scorers: Ryuichi Kishimoto (19 points, 3 of 6 from 3-point range), Narito Namizato and Anthony Kent (13 points apiece) and Anthony McHenry (11 points. Hiromasa Omiya poured in nine points and Naoto Kosuge had eight.

Namizato dished out a season-high eight assists in an electrifying performance in 18-plus minutes. Led by the Okinawan playmaker's effort, the Ryukyu offense clicked, with 22 assists on the afternoon against 13 turnovers.

The Golden Kings were active and productive on defense, with six players blocking a shot. Ex-JBL and NBL forward Omiya, a stellar offseason pickup, led the defensive charge with two blocks.

Ryukyu big man Kibwe Trim added eight points and 15 rebounds.

The Kings reserves outscored their Evessa counterparts 46-9.

For Osaka, Josh Dollard had 21 points, Shota Konno scored 11 and Gary Hamilton added 10 points and 11 rebounds. Shunki Hatakeyama finished with seven points and six assists for the Evessa (11-7).

Big Bulls 98, Five Arrows 83

In Miyako, Iwate Prefecture, the Big Bulls jumped out to a 60-44 lead over Takamatsu by halftime en route to their 16th straight win.

Iwate (17-1) is 8-0 at home.

Wayne Arnold paced the Big Bulls with 29 points, including 12-for-12 at the free-throw line. Scootie Randall poured in 21 points and drained 9 of 10 free throws. Abdullahi Kuso scored 14 points and blocked five shots, Lawrence Blackledge had 12 points and 10 boards and Hayato Kantake added 11 points.

As a team, Iwate was 25-for-27 at the charity stripe.

Dexter Lyons was Takamatsu's top scorer with 17 points. Justin Watts poured in 15 points and Andrais Thornton scored 14. Tsubasa Yonezawa added 12 and Koki Yabuuchi had 11 for the Five Arrows (7-11), who have dropped four straight games.

Firebonds 112, Broncos 85

In Sukagawa, Fukushima Prefecture, the Firebonds, a first-year franchise, overwhelmed Saitama's interior defense for the second straight game and completed a series sweep.

Fukushima (6-12) shot more than 70 percent from inside the arc for the second time in as many days — 35-for-47 (74.5 percent) in the series finale.

Shinya Murakami carved up the Saitama defense, exploiting weaknesses all afternoon, handing out a game-high 10 assists.

Firebonds big man Terrance Shannon had 25 points on 10-for-11 shooting and hauled in 10 rebounds. Teammate Verdell Jones III scored 22 points and dished out seven assists, while Masaya Karimata had 20 points, including four 3s. Takumi Masuko supplied 15 points,

Edward Morris netted 14 and James Hughes had 10.

Saitama trailed 30-16 after one quarter.

Gary Johnson led the Broncos (0-14) with 33 points and Ari Stewart had 22.

Susanoo Magic 88, Albirex BB 83

In Joetsu, Niigata Prefecture, Isiah Brown scored 19 points and doled out seven assists and Joe Chapman chipped in with 18 points and six helpers as Shimane salvaged a series split.

The Susanoo Magic canned 12 of 21 3s to secure the victory. Tatsuhiro Yokoo poured in 13 points and Bingo Morriex added 12.

Shimane (2-16) won its first game since Tomohiro Moriyama replaced Reggie Hanson as head coach. The Magic had gone 0-5 since the coaching change was made.

Thomas Kennedy and Patrick Sullivan each scored 16 points for Niigata (9-9) and Russell Carter and Yuichi Ikeda had 13 apiece before a crowd of 2,662 spectators. Kimitake Sato supplied eight points and five assists.

Grouses 74, HeatDevils 62

In Toyama, Jamelle Horne's 27-point performance ignited the hosts to a victory and a series sweep over Oita.

Tatsunori Fujie scored 16 points and Keyon Carter added 10 for the Grouses, who played their second game without 2013-14 league MVP Masashi Joho (a recent right knee ligament injury). Sam Willard finished with eight points and 13 rebounds and Joe Werner pulled down 12 boards.

Taishiro Shimizu had 12 points for Oita (6-10) and Kellen Thornton and Todd O'Brien both scored 11. Hiroki Oshiro added 10 points and eight assists. Thornton led the squad with 13 rebounds.

Joho is expected to be sidelined for three weeks, according to a team-issued news release.

Happinets 86, Crane Thunders 70

In Fujioka, Gunma Prefecture, Richard Roby scored a game-high 23 points and Shigehiro Taguchi made his mark with 18 points and seven assists as Akita pounced on the hosts.

Taguchi drained 4 of 9 3s. His team, meanwhile, shot 64.7 percent (33-for-51) from inside the arc, buoyed by Roby's 9-for-13 and Tyran Walker's 8-for-9 from there.

Walker scored 17 points and hauled in nine boards and Kenta Tateyama pumped in 10 points off the bench.

Since joining the Happinets at the outset of last season, Roby has noticed Taguchi's maturation and continued development.

"He has expanded his game by using his great shooting ability to drive and get in the paint and now he's making better decisions when he gets in the paint," Roby said of Taguchi in a Sunday interview with The Japan Times. "When to score, when to shoot and overall picking his spots when to be aggressive."

Carlos Dixon paced the Crane Thunders (2-14) with 20 points and seven assists, Melvin Ely had 13 points, eight rebounds and three blocks and Kenya Tomori added 11 points.

Gunma, which dropped both weekend games, was 5-for-15 at the free-throw line.

Hannaryz 96, Brave Warriors 66

In Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture, Kevin Kotzur's 25-point, 15-rebound outing played a pivotal role in Kyoto's dominant performance against struggling Shinshu.

Takuya Komoda and David Palmer both had 15 points for the Hannaryz (16-2), and Reggie Warren contributed 14 points and 12 rebounds. Yusuke Masuda poured in a season-high 11 points with five assists.

Eight Kyoto players had two or more assists in the series finale, and the Hannaryz shot 60 percent (33-for-55) from 2-point range.

The Brave Warriors (5-9) have dropped three straight and five of their last six.

Patrick Sanders had a team-high 17 points for Shinshu, DeVaughn Washington added 14 and Mohamed Abukar had 11. Masamune Tate scored seven points.

Bambitious 110, B-Corsairs 75

In Hiratsuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, Nara dominated on the boards against injury-depleted Yokohama to pick up its second victory in as many days.

The Bambitious (5-9) out-rebounded the hosts 52-32.

Nara's Ryo Inagaki sank all seven of his 3-point attempts in a 23-point outburst and Michael St. John had 17 points and 23 rebounds, while Chehales Tapscott scored 18 points with nine rebounds. Andre Murray and Takuro Ito each had 10 points and

Tatsuya Suzuki finished with eight points and 14 assists.

Warren Niles paced Yokohama (4-14) with 34 points and Satoshi Hisayama and Ryuichi Horikawa both had 10. Kenji Yamada had eight assists and eight turnovers in a frustration-filled game.

Phoenix 65, Cinq Reves 63

In Toyokawa, Aichi Prefecture, Hamamatsu Higashimikawa edged Tokyo with a strong effort on the defensive end.

The Phoenix (13-3) forced 20 turnovers. Olu Ashaolu had a team-high four steals along with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Nile Murry and Mo Charlo both scored 10 points, the latter also handing out five assists. Shingo Okada chipped in with eight points and wily veteran Masahiro Oguchi had seven.

Jemal Farmer led the Cinq Reves (4-14) with 23 points. Yuji Ide scored 12 and Will Foster had a double-double (11 points, 12 rebounds).

Lakestars 80, Wat's 72

In Yasu, Shiga Prefecture, the Lakestars avenged a Saturday loss against Aomori.

Ray Nixon and Terrance Woodbury had 17 points apiece for Shiga (11-3), Yu Okada had 15 in 16-plus minutes and Jeff Parmer added 14 points and 11 rebounds. Chris Holm scored 10 points and grabbed 15 boards.

Masahiro Kano made five steals in the hosts' triumph.

Satoshi Ishitani and Kyle Richardson both scored 11 points for the Wat's (10-8) and Damian Saunders, Yuki Kitamuki and Gyno Pomare finished with 10 apiece. Paul Williams added seven points, nine boards and six assists. Pomare grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds.

89ers 85, Rizing 66

In Tagawa, Fukuoka Prefecture, Sendai's second-quarter surge keyed a runaway win over the hosts.

The 89ers took a 47-26 advantage into the locker room at halftime.

Kejuan Johnson (24 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, three steals), Wendell White (23 points) and Adrian Moss (13 points, 15 rebounds, three blocks) carried Sendai (12-6) to victory. Fumiya Sato had nine points and Manato Kikuchi delivered an eight-point game.

Josh Peppers, who reached the bj-league's 4,500-career point milestone in Saturday's loss, led the Rizing (4-14) with 22 points, his jersey number. Greg Logins finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
