LONDON (AP) Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce is urging the Premier League to adopt video technology so that clubs don't pay a massive price for the kind of human error that he claims cost his lineup heavily in a weekend loss to Arsenal.
Blackburn was denied a penalty that could have leveled the score at 3-3 on Sunday. The Gunners went on to win 6-2.
Allardyce said human error is unacceptable in the Premier League because the loss of valuable points could lead to relegation and the forfeiture of millions of pounds in revenue.
"This is why we're always into pushing for technology," Allardyce said after the match, "because if I'm given the opportunity to challenge two or three decisions a game, I could challenge that one instantly, get the right decision given and we could have the chance to get some points out of Arsenal today."
