Japan coach Zico was named an Olympic torch runner for his home country Brazil by an official Olympic sponsor and will carry the sacred flame, sources said Tuesday.
The 51-year-old will take part in the June 13 relay in Rio de Janeiro along with compatriots including soccer legend Pele when the torch arrives in South America for the first time in the history of the Games.
