Some groups deny statistics showing violence against women despite the quantity or quality of data. I am going to follow the trend: I will deny myself the visit I had planned to Tokyo next month. I refuse to spend my money in a country that will not take responsibility for its past atrocities.
Abe denies that Japan's military forced women into sex slavery during World War II despite the documented evidence and testimonials from the women themselves. It is an outrage. It is cruel and demeaning not only to the "comfort women" but to women everywhere. Inhumane acts cannot be ignored or denied.
