A daughter of Shoko Asahara, the condemned founder of doomsday cult Aum Shinrikyo, has been banned from visiting several senior cultists on death row for allegedly helping them share books, in violation of the law, sources said Tuesday.

The third daughter of Asahara, whose real name is Chizuo Matsumoto, had been visiting Masato Yokoyama, 50, Yasuo Koike, 56, Kiyohide Hayakawa, 64, and Tomomitsu Niimi, 49, at the Tokyo Detention Henter in Katsushika Ward since 2007.

A probe conducted sometime last April and afterward found that Koike had written in a letter to Matsumoto's daughter, "Let's stop circulating books (to other inmates) for a while."
