Softbank Mobile Corp. and NTT DoCoMo Inc. announced separately Thursday they have started providing high-speed LTE mobile Internet access at the summit of Mount Fuji.
Access will be available until the end of the summer climbing season in late August. The carriers have installed temporary antennas for their 4G high-speed Net services. KDDI Corp. is planning to follow suit Tuesday.
