A New York-bound Japan Airlines jet returned to Narita International Airport on Wednesday night after the airline received a message that a bomb was aboard, JAL said.

No explosives have been found since the Boeing 777 carrying 247 passengers and 18 crew members landed at the airport around 8:10 p.m. A JAL official declined to provide any details about the message, citing "security reasons." The airline transferred all passengers and crew to another plane.
