FUKUSHIMA – People forced out of their residences near the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant remain concerned about the huge obstacles to returning home, despite the government’s declaration Friday that the crisis has been brought under control.
“I am glad that conditions are improving, but I don’t think we will return,” said Taisuke Hori, 27, who fled to Tsukuba, Ibaraki Prefecture, after the crisis started.
