YANGON (Kyodo) A Japanese citizen was killed and another injured in a traffic accident in Myanmar, witnesses and official sources said Sunday.
Hideki Hasegawa, a dentist in his mid-40s, was killed when the car and its five passengers overturned about 170 km north of Yangon on the new Yangon-Naypyitaw highway around midnight Saturday. One of three Myanmar officials riding in the car was killed as well.
