YOKOHAMA (Kyodo) A 15-year-old student was stabbed Tuesday in a classroom at a private high school for girls in Yokohama and a classmate was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, police said.

Seishin Girls’ Senior High School placed a 119 emergency call at around 12:20 p.m. after the first-year student was seriously injured in the attack, the police and the Kanagawa prefectural board of education said.
