FUKUOKA (Kyodo) Ringer Hut Co., a fast-food chain, said Tuesday it will open an outlet in downtown Bangkok in early April under a joint-venture agreement with a Thai food company.

Ringer Hut, known for its Nagasaki Champon and Sara Udon noodle dishes, hopes to create a chain of 20 restaurants in Thailand in the future.

The company, which has retreated from China and the United States in the past, said it will seek to open a total of 170 restaurants mainly in other parts of Asia in the coming 10 years.
