WASHINGTON (Kyodo) Japanese Ambassador to the United States Ichiro Fujisaki will resume his news conferences starting next Wednesday, the Japanese Embassy said Friday.
The conferences were canceled by Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama soon after he took office in mid-September.
The decision was made to back of his Democratic Party of Japan's pledges to ensure political control over the bureaucracy.
