CHIBA (Kyodo) The number of visitors to Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea hit 400 million Wednesday, Oriental Land Co. announced.

The 400 millionth visitor was Aiko Hironaka, 57, from Setagaya Ward, Tokyo. She received a "passport" for the two parks valid for the next three years, a bouquet, a stuffed Mickey Mouse and other souvenirs at Tokyo DisneySea in Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture.

Hironaka, who came with four members of her family, said: "I'm surprised. I would like to enjoy myself with my grandchild and others until the night fireworks."

Tokyo Disneyland opened in April 1983. The number of visitors reached 100 million in 1991 and 200 million in 1997.

Tokyo DisneySea opened in September 2001, and the number of visitors to both parks combined reached 300 million in November 2002.
