Toyota Motor Corp. said Tuesday its parts production unit in the Philippines has started exports of transmission assemblies to Japan.
The exports by Toyota Autoparts Philippines Inc. were started after a ceremony earlier in the day at its manufacturing facility in Santa Rosa, Laguna Province, south of Manila, the automaker said.
Philippine-made transmission assemblies form a major component of its global supply network, Toyota said.
