Deutsche Telekom AG's cell phone unit has signed an agreement with Sony Corp. to allow users to download movie-related content, officials of Europe's largest telecom firm said Monday.

The tieup was signed between T-Mobile International AG and Sony Pictures Digital, a subsidiary of Sony's U.S. movie unit, Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc.

The roughly 10 million users of T-Mobile's wireless services will be able to download content including film clips, screen savers and movie trailers.

The companies will begin providing the service at the end of this year, the officials said.
