JR Tokai Bus Co. announced Thursday it has dismissed a 50-year-old driver who was found driving a long-distance bus under the influence of alcohol earlier this month.

The company president, Kimiyuki Yoshikawa, will have his pay cut by one-third for three months, the Nagoya-based carrier said.
